Bishop David Alan Bard was elected to the episcopacy by the North Central Jurisdiction in 2016. Bishop Bard is currently the presiding bishop of the Michigan Area. He is also the interim bishop for the Dakotas-Minnesota Area, supervising the Minnesota Annual Conference.
