David N. Field is the Academic Coordinator of the Methodist e-Academy, a research associate of the Research Institute of Religion and Theology at the University of South Africa, and the Ecumenical Staff Officer for Faith & Order and Theological Dialogue with the Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church.

David has written on a variety of theological themes including ecotheology; the theology and ethics of Dietrich Bonhoeffer; John Wesley and the Methodist theological tradition; theology and migration, and public/political theology.
