Rev. Jay Williams, Ph.D. (he/ him/ his) is lead pastor of Union Boston, a 200 year-old multicultural faith community committed to liberation, justice, and radical love — and the UMC’s first historically black reconciling congregation. As a young lay person, Jay led the Western NY delegations to GC2000 & 2004, and will lead the New England delegation to GC2020. Jay is a cisgender, black queer man, striving to help disinherited people find their voices.
