Rev. Jodi McCullah is a United Methodist Elder who founded Soldiers And Families Embraced as a response to the needs of combat veterans and their families attending Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. As of 2018, SAFE had provided free counseling to more than 3,000 service members, veterans and family members near Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and helped train and license more than a dozen new counselors to work with the ongoing needs of this demographic. She asks we remember, as a nation, that we are still sending folks into combat.
