In today’s passage, Genesis 18:1-15 and 21:1-7, we find that Abraham and Sarah had given up on God’s promise of a son. Carla Pratt Keyes, pastor of Ginter Park Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia, invites us to contemplate God’s faithfulness to Abraham and Sarah. They were open to God and found joy in the midst of suffering. Can we do so as well?
