Dr. Scott Todd believes the church has not only a mandate but an opportunity to end extreme poverty and that this can be accomplished in the next generation. Dr. Todd is co-founder of 58: a coalition of ten relief agencies committed to ending extreme poverty in the next 25 years, and he serves as a senior advisor for Compassion International.  He takes a new spin on this topic as he focuses on the successes of poverty eradication efforts in his new book, Fast Living: How the Church Will End Extreme Poverty (Compassion International, September 2011).
