There's a happy sort of feeling, God,

That seems to come always

When school is closed and summertime

Brings back vacation days!

I'm sure you know just what I mean—

We're free to run and play,

To swim and go on picnics,

Or to fish the whole long day!

O thank you, God, for the ways

Of happy, free, vacation days!
