The $2.99 app is for families of all ages and includes customized formatting for all devices.

The app is an Advent themed calendar which is used to celebrate the anticipation of Christmas. The app begins with 7 unlocked activities and, beginning December 1st, a new activity is unlocked each day leading up to Christmas day.

There are 7 categories of activities including:

In The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem, Pastor Adam Hamilton combines biblical, historical, cultural, and anthropological data to tell, or re-tell, the most beloved story of all time. It is the Christmas story as you have never heard it before—placed in its proper context, and full of gritty and wonderful details not found in Scripture.

With the print version of The Journey already showing great success in the consumer market, Abingdon Press anticipates that this family friendly app will provide enjoyment and a refreshed knowledge of Advent to readers on-the-go this Christmas season.

Adam Hamilton is senior pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, one of the fastest growing, most highly visible churches in the country. The Church Report named Hamilton’s congregation the most influential mainline church in America, and PBS’s Religion and Ethics Newsweekly identified him as one of the top “Ten People to Watch.” Hamilton is the best-selling and award-winning author of 24 Hours That Changed The World; Why? Making Sense of God’s Will, Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity And Generosity; and ten other Abingdon Press publication titles.
